Breaking: Buhari appoints new ADC

President Mohammadu Buhari has appointed the Academy Adjutant of the Nigeria Defence Academy  (NDA), Lt-Col Y.M. Dodo, as his new Aide-De-Camp (ADC). Unconfirmed eports indicate that Dodo will take over from Col. M.L. Abubakar who is said to be proceeding on a promotion course. On completion, Col Abubakar is expected  to be promoted to a new rank of Brig-Gen alongside his coursemates. The Aide-de-Camp (ADC) provides protection and is ready at all times to lay his life for the President. The ADC approaches every public function and other assignments both within and outside the country with the highest level of precision and seriousness they deserve.

Boko Haram: New Service chiefs storm Borno, meet Zulum, to step up fight against insurgency

CSO calls on ICC to arrest, investigate Gen Burutai over alleged human rights abuses

A Civil Society Organisation, Concerned Nigerians, CN, Thursday, called on the International Criminal Court, ICC, to investigate, arrest and prosecute former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai (Rtd), over alleged human rights abuses while serving in the Nigerian military as Chief of Army Staff Vanguard news.com This was contained in a letter signed by the Convener, Comrade Deji Adeyanju, with the subject, ‘A Call for the Investigation and Arrest of Tukur Buratai’ and addressed to Chief Prosecutor, Office of the Prosecutor, International Criminal Court, The Hague, The Netherlands, Mrs Fatou Bensouda, which President Muhammadu Buhari was copied. The group alleged that in 2015, Gen Buratai ordered members of the Nigerian army to kill over 300 defenseless Nigerian Shiite Muslims; ordered the Nigerian soldiers to kill hundreds of Nigerian citizens of South-Eastern extraction, in the guise of searching for members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB); and
