Chelsea have entered the race to sign right-back Ivan Fresneda, who has previously been targeted by Arsenal. According to ESPN, Chelsea are interested in signing Ivan Fresneda, but as things stand Barcelona remain favourites to secure the 18-year-old’s signature. Arsenal have a long-standing interest in Fresneda. The Gunners attempted to sign the player in the January transfer window of last season, and revived their interest earlier this summer, before bringing Jurrien Timber to the club. However, the recent ACL injury sustained by Timber may force Arsenal back into the market. Mikel Arteta will be tempted to try once more to bring Fresneda to the Emirates Stadium. Fresneda himself may well be open to making a switch to north London. The Spain under-20 international has previously expressed his admiration of Arteta.
