A Professor of History and International Relations at the Lagos State University, Abolade Adeniji, has urged the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), not to rely on external assistance to combat Nigeria’s anti-terror war against Boko Haram fighters ravaging Borno, Yobe, and other states in the North-East. There is tension in Ile-Ife and Modakeke in Osun State as at least five persons were found brutally murder while going to their farm. Sources told DAILY POST that the bodies were found in Modakeke in the early morning of Friday at Toro road. President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Kano for the wedding ceremony of his son, Yusuf Buhari. This is according to a brief statement by his media aide, Bashir Ahmad. Yusuf is getting married to Zahra Bayero, the daughter of Nasiru Ado Bayero, the Emir of Bichi in Kano State and the wedding will take place in the Emirate on Friday. While he was away in the UK, President Buhari’s representatives had sought the consent of the Emir’s family for their daughter’s hand in marriage.
