Manchester United are yet to trigger the one-year extensions in the contracts of  Edinson Cavani  and  Juan Mata . Both players are out of contract at the end of the season but  United  have the option to extend their  deals  until 2022 and have often taken decisions on contract extensions midway through seasons. However, the MEN understands a decision has not been made on the futures of Cavani, 34 on Sunday, and Mata, who will turn 33 in April. Cavani joined United on a free transfer on deadline day in October and has scored seven times, having ousted Anthony Martial to become United's first-choice striker. United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spoken of his desire to keep Cavani at least until the end of next season. "At the moment, it looks like he has a few years left in him," Solskjaer said on Boxing Day. "So I wouldn’t say anything else. He has made a great impact when he has come here. Let’s focus on improving everyone but he has a few years left

The HOD made the disclosure on Wednesday while addressing HND 1 students of his department on the key measure of the curtailment of covid-19 during lecture. He said there is no doubt that the killer virus exists adding that all protocols already laid down by health officials should be strictly adhered to.
