The Federal Government's work-from-home directive for civil servants on Grade Level 12 and below, has been extended till June 11. Civil servants were directed by the Presidential Steering Committee On COVID-19 domiciled in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, to work from home till June 11, 2021, after which the directive may be reviewed. PSC's National Incident Manager, Mukhtar Mohammed who gave the directive said; “All Government staff on GL. 12 and below are to continue to stay at home until 11th June, 2021."

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee, (PSC) on COVID-19, Mr Boss Mustapha, has clarified misrepresentation in the briefing of the PSC on Monday. Mustapha, who spoke to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja, said it was erroneously reported that the federal government had re-introduced nationwide curfew between 12 a.m. and 4 a.m. as part of the COVID-19 safety protocols. He, however, said the announcement by the National Incident Manager, Dr. Mukhtar Mohammed, during the PSC press briefing was taken out of context because the federal government did not relax the curfew imposed earlier under Phase Three of the eased lockdown. The pastor was said to be in the church premises in Akure South Local government area when he was abducted on Monday night, May 10. Confirming the incident to LIB, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Tee-Leo Ikoro, said efforts are being made to rescue the pastor from his abductors. ''He was abducted last night around 8 o'clock within the church premises.''
