Adekunle Fatai Kehinde popularly known as Kennie SP  has emerged the winner of Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara state, Students’ Union Presidential election. The students also elects former  Assistance General secretary of the union, Comr. Omoniyi Jamiu known as General Jamo, as the Vice President of (Academics) of the union. The election that commenced  at  exactly 11 am  and ends 2 o'clock Friday afternoon was conducted via   E-voting.  According to reports, the just concluded election has been one of the most successful and peaceful Student Union election that has been conducted so far in the history of the institution. This results was announced on Friday by the Independent College Electoral Committee(ICEC) chairman, Comrade Kamorudeen Akeem a.k.a Kebe. According to him, Comr. President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Ahmed Abubakar Audi as the new Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola announced on Thursday. The Minister also added that the President approved the nomination of Haliru Nababa as the new Controller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service. He said the appointment followed the retirement from service of Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu, in January.
