Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, commissioned the construction of a signature flyover

Recently, the Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, commissioned the construction of a signature flyover with pomp and celebration, amongst other efforts to keep good governance going in the state, writes Yinka Kolawole Osun State especially, its capital, Osogbo was suddenly in the news, when Governor Adegboyega Oyetola announced the readiness of his administration to construct an iconic flyover across the popular Fakunle-Olaiya, Odiolowo-Olaiya, AKindeko-Olaiya and MDS Olaiya interactions – all in Osogbo, the state capital. Many questions were asked and still being asked by residents and non-residents alike about the wisdom or otherwise of having a flyover in the place. A flyover is a road constructively created with an elevation at a given junction or intersection. It could be with or without any subsidiary principally aimed at controlling traffic conflicts at any given road intersection.

I didn’t collect salary for 8 years as governor, says Aregbesola

The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola at the weekend dismissed reports that he received 96- month salary arrears in secret when he served as the governor of Osun state. He described the report as a fiction written by elements bent on casting “aspersion on the integrity of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola” A statement from Aregbesola’s media aide, Sola Fasure, noted that the report carried by an online medium falls short of all known ethics of journalism. According to the statement, the author of the report “falsely claims that the Minister of Interior and immediate past governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, towards the end of his tenure, secretly received the backlog of his full salary for the entire period he was governor, contrary to his asserting that he never did.

PRESS STATEMENT :YDPN

PRESS STATEMENT I bring you warm greetings from the powerful National Secretariat of our great Party, the YOUTH DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF NIGERIA (YDPN). I salute the doggedness and unflinching commitment of our members across the Nation and in diaspora who still believe in the vision of this movement and the need to salvage our dear Nation.  A couple of hours ago, we received disturbing news from some States in the South Western region about a purported stakeholders meeting which was held a couple of weeks ago wherein there was a resolution that the name of our Party be changed to Allied Youth Congress (AYC). We urge all our members to disregard news of any name change or merger. This nefarious agenda is being propagated by greedy and selfish youths who are working as pawns in the hands of our ruling political elites with the sole aim of keeping the youths divided. I wish to categorically state that the name of our party remains YOUTH DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF

You saw the political situation of things in Osun, and you conquered by wrestling power from the then governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.  After your eight years as governor, you were considered and appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria o
