President Buhari who has always dodged questions on the country' s next leader, revealed on Saturday, that he would only give power to politicians who won elections in their domains.

The President made this revelation at the launching of Kudirat Abiola Sabon Gari, Zaria Peace Foundation.

The launching was held at Ahmadu Bello University Hotels, Zaria as President Buhari spoke as a Special Guest of Honour.

To this end, the President revealed that he will not hand over power to policians who didn' t win elections in their domains.

 

Buhari further iterated the need for the country to be in peace, noting that there is nothing the country needs now other than peace.

President Buhari also spoke about secessionists and those agitating for the division of the country.

He said they were ignorant of war and its consequences, and that the separation of the country would not help matters.

Governor Nasir El Rufai who also spoke at the event warned that the country had grown beyond separation.

El- Rufai who was represented by Kaduna state' s Commissioner for Education, Dr Shehu Usman Mohammed, plaeded for Nigerians to tolerate one another to live together.

He further called on secessionists demanding the separation of the country to come back to their senses because Nigerians are scattered everywhere in the country, making it impossible.

Nigerians now look at the All Progressives Congress' s politicians who won elections to be the next in line to govern Nigeria, owing to President Buhari' s statement.
